In the last couple months I’ve started watching a lot of Bloomberg News. I usually watch during the middle of the day because the channel gives a lot of general information about investing (the current situation in Europe, currency issues, hedge fund news, venture capital info). The channel streams live off their website, so I can watch it on my computer. Also, I live near NYC and the show films in NYC so a lot of the guests are based around NYC, which makes me feel like I could use the information more.
Today one of the guests on Surrvelince Midday with Tom Keene was a rep from Wempe Watches. Their store is on 5th Ave at 55th st.
Summary of their conversation was:
- physical movement watches are making a comeback
- Wempe is trying to get more of the market with a watch in the range of around $3,000 while other watch companies are trying to increase prices higher
- The watch design trends are no longer having an increase in face size but going for a more elegant refined and timeless look
